Go small and go home
Miniature tree with a majestic look
With its thick trunk like something out of a fairytale and a cluster of sturdy leaves on top, it’s able to capture your attention and spark your imagination, especially when combined with our ceramics.
In exchange, this Bonsai-like plant only requires slightly moist soil and a position with plenty of indirect daylight. Extra tip: use a plant spray to keep the leaves nice and damp!

Watering
The Ficus likes slightly moist soil but is sensitive to overwatering. It’s best to give small amounts of water at a time and wait until the top layer of soil feels dry before watering again.
Light
The Ficus Ginseng loves light and thrives best with around five hours of indirect sunlight each day. If placed in a spot that is too dark, it may start dropping leaves. When moving your plant to a brighter location, let it adjust gradually to avoid leaf burn.
Has your Ficus recently been moved? It might need some time to settle in and could lose a few leaves at first, but it usually bounces back quickly.
Misting
In the tropics, the Ficus Ginseng thrives in a humid environment. You can recreate that atmosphere at home by misting the leaves regularly with a plant spray. This keeps the foliage fresh and glossy, helps remove dust and prevents pests like spider mites.
During winter, misting becomes even more important due to the dry air from indoor heating.
Pruning
Want a full and healthy Ficus? Pruning is the secret. By trimming in autumn or in between, you help the plant stay compact and in shape. Feel free to remove long shoots and any dead leaves.
Did you know that pruning encourages new growth? Especially in spring, the results can be surprisingly quick.
